Ursa Optical is Hiring an Optician Near Anchorage, AK

```Duties```
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit and alignment of eyewear
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and treatments to help them make informed decisions
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure comfort and functionality for customers
- Maintain inventory of eyewear frames, lenses, and contact lenses, and place orders as necessary
- Keep accurate records of customer prescriptions, purchases, and insurance information
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
-Front desk reception duties such as scheduling patient exams and returning phone calls, etc.

```Experience```
- Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role preferred; however we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates superior customer service skills and a great attitude
- Knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and contact lenses is helpful
- Familiarity with medical coding, medical records, and HIPAA regulations is helpful
- Understanding of medical terminology related to optometry and ophthalmology is helpful
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and healthcare professionals
- Proficient in using computer systems for record keeping and order processing
